Automotive Service Technician

I was born and raised in Oshawa. At an early age, I started working for Canadian Tire in the Automotive parts department. While attending college for architecture, I decided it wasn’t for me and moved into a management position at Canadian Tire. I started a family and then realized Canadian Tire wasn’t where I wanted to be either. As I had learned about car repair while helping out in my friends’ shops as a summer student, I sought out an apprenticeship as an Automotive Service Technician. Before I had the opportunity to work at Vanderheyden’s Garage, I worked for 3 small shops in Durham region where I gained a lot of experience working on domestic vehicles. My approach to car repair is very thorough and I enjoy the challenge of figuring out exactly what’s going on with our customers’ cars. My goal is to provide our customers with the service they have come to expect from Vanderheyden’s, and I am very happy to be part of such a great team of technicians.
